Animals in our Community Need You!
Our area animal rescue groups and shelters work really hard to improve the lives of our communities less fortunate animals. Please keep them in mind and help out in any way you can.
Here is a terrific article from Sarasota Pets Magazine about one of the rescues I care deeply about!
The Racing Dog Retirement Project (RDRP) is an all-Volunteer 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to the protection, rehabilitation, and adoption of retired racing greyhounds.
Our mission is to reduce the number of unwanted, abandoned or abused Akitas throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and the Carolinas.
Canine Castaways, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer organization established in 2003. We do not operate from a shelter but rather a network of foster homes in different areas of the state.
Petfinder has helped 25 million pets find their families through adoption. Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes. It is also a directory of nearly 14,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations
No-Kill, Not for Profit Rescue. Our vision is to be recognized as the regional leader in animal welfare through quality care, humane education and financial stewardship.
A not-for-profit organization whose mission is to save animals for the benefit of humanity. ARC rescues cats and dogs from euthanasia by providing proactive spay and neuter services. No animal should be killed to make room for another.
Our mission is to provide abandoned pets with compassionate care and shelter while promoting responsible pet ownership and securing permanent homes. We are the area’s largest no-kill animal shelter.
We have been volunteering & fostering animals since 2000 through other organizations (Manatee & Sarasota Humane Society, Underdog Rescue, Sarasota Animal Services). All animals that deserve a chance at a normal life with a special family.
UnderDog has worked hard to maintain superior quality of care while performing our due-diligence as an all volunteer, non-profit 501(C)3, charitable organization. We subsist solely by reasonable adoption fees and donations.
We provide lifelong shelter to dogs deemed unadoptable, nurture and train borderline dogs, and offer temporary shelter to adoptable dogs whose owners can no longer care for them.
